Beginning on February 14th, we are launching our membership drive, and we are doing this for two reasons: first, it’s Valentine's Day, and we LOVE our community, it's Black History Month, and we want to honor where we come from.

This coop was founded by a diverse cohort of black and multi-racial stakeholders, from 3 continents, speaking 8 languages, who came together around the idea that there should be walkable access to good food made from fresh local ingredients and cultural foods in downtown Lewiston. Sharing our food with the community continues to be our guiding principle. We love and celebrate the diversity of our coop and are excited to see how our work joins the tapestry of Black leaders and changemakers making Maine a better place we can all thrive in. While we honor our founders, we are so excited to share this with ALL of you. If you have ever wanted to shop for groceries in downtown Lewiston, our market is for you.
